Mermaid |

“Mermaid” is a mosaic placed on the wall, behind a fireplace in a sailing boat in Oregon. It was made to protect the wall from the heat and to give a sense of being underwater in the sailing boat. The photos of the mermaid were provided by the client. And some changes were made later on to complete his idea. Soapstone was used to match the fireplace that was also made from soapstone. “Mermaid” was later shipped to the boat and I never got the chance to meet the owner. It was great to have earned his trust in this way. The internet was the only link in between both of us. |
